about

In the midst of the global outbreak of COVID-19, our global unity and collective capabilities are being put to the test. In this war that has already deeply impacted the lives we cherish, health care workers are the soldiers on the front lines keeping the enemy at bay. That is why, with the help of Ropeadope Records, I am releasing this song as both a thank you to all the brave individuals serving in health care, and a plea to the world to show our greatest collective support.

100% of the proceeds from this song will be donated to organizations that support health care individuals through meals on site, housing (so they don’t have to commute), daycare for their children while they work 12 hour+ shifts, medical and protective supplies, and whatever is necessary to support them on the front lines.

The situation is bad, and it is about to get worse. We need all the help we can get. Please donate what you can, and share and stream the song to support health care workers worldwide in this fight for our collective health and safety.

Statement from Greg Spero:

Sometimes life hits you hard. There’s not always a reason and sometimes nothing we can do but feel the pain and continue the journey forward. No Rest For The Weary is about a moment in the midst of the struggle where, with a heavy heart, there is nothing you can do but that which needs to be done.

The lyrics were written by Peter Yastrow about the loss of his daughter to pediatric cancer. It embodies the pain that he went through then, but resonates with what many of us are going through now, as we distance ourselves from family and friends in the name of collective safety, and prepare for unknown catastrophe.

- Greg Spero

Statement from Peter Yastrow:

I have had difficult times before and the best advice I got was “take it one day at a time.” This song is about taking it one day at a time, and getting through tough times.

- Peter Yastrow

This song is dedicated to Jody Olivia Yastrow, and all the healthcare professionals working to save the world right now.
